Municipal Tourist Tax in Loulé

Starting from 1st Novenber 2024, the Loulé Municipality will implement a Tourist Tax applicable to all guests staying in local accommodation units or hotels in the region. This initiative aims to support sustainability projects, environmental preservation, and the enhancement of the cultural and tourism heritage of the municipality.

Details of the Tourist Tax

• Amount: €2 per person, per night.
• Application: Up to a maximum of 5 consecutive nights per stay.
• Exemptions:
  • Children under the age of 16.
  • Individuals with disabilities equal to or greater than 60% (upon presentation of proof).
• Validity Period: From 1st Novenber.

How is it charged?

The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation provider at check-in or check-out and will be included in the final bill.
